DANAZOL TABLETS

It is used to treat advanced prostate cancer.Antiandrogens such as cyproterone block the effect of the hormone called testosterone. This causes a reduction in the production of testosterone in the testicles, which prostate cancer cells require for growth.

Dosage and Administration :

  • Twice daily or as prescribed by the doctor

Mode of action :

  • Danazol reduces estrogen production and levels, it has functional antiestrogenic properties. The combination of its antiestrogenic, androgenic, and progestogenic or antiprogestogenic actions cause atrophy of the endometrium, which alleviates the symptoms of endometriosis.
